Cooney’s Woodcrafts began with a simple idea: I wanted to build a custom wooden bed frame for my home. That project is still on the to‑do list, but the process of preparing for it — learning tools, techniques, and the fundamentals of woodworking — opened a door I didn’t expect. I started my training with cutting boards and other kitchen items, discovering how much I enjoyed shaping raw materials into something functional and beautiful.

As my skills grew, so did my curiosity. I expanded into woodturning, experimented with new materials, and began creating décor pieces in partnership with my mother‑in‑law — blending our styles to bring warmth, personality, and a touch of whimsy into every design. From there, the work naturally evolved into a wide range of home and outdoor furnishings, including floating shelves, planters, outdoor furniture, and one‑of‑a‑kind pieces.

Today, Cooney’s Woodcrafts is a small‑batch studio built on craftsmanship, creativity, and the joy of making.
